I’m Jackson. I grew up in Michigan but traded the lakes for the Arizona desert to study Computer Science at Grand Canyon University. I’ve always been someone who loves to understand how things work from the inside out; whether that’s spending my weekends attempting to fix my car or spending late nights building a C-Minus compiler from scratch.
While I’m deep into the technical side of things like Neural Networks and OpenGL, my business management emphasis keeps me focused on the “why”. I love the challenge of taking a complex idea, like my DormDeal capstone project, and turning it into something that actually makes life easier for other students.
When I’m not at my desk, I’m almost definitely outdoors. I’m a huge fan of rock climbing and hiking. I even spent seven days trekking up Mount Goddard. If I’m not on a trail, you can usually find me on the pickleball court, the gym, or hanging out with my family and roommates. I’m also fluent in Spanish, a skill I spent 13 years developing and one I’m proud to carry with me.
Here are some technologies I've been working with recently:
- Python
- C++
- Java
- C#
- MongoDB
- MySQL
- Angular
- Node.js
- .NET
- MATLAB
